MEET THE DIRECTORS

Hussain Faail is an industry expert with an insider’s knowledge of the tourism and trade industries. With a Bachelor’s in hospitality management from Birmingham College, he went on to work in the front-line of hospitality soon after graduation. He handled front office operations and worked as a surf guide and butler at some of the Maldives’ most iconic properties. Later, he managed a high-end marketing publication “Luxury Maldives” to broaden the Maldives’ marketing horizons. He is skilled in dealing with SMEs, and has a working knowledge of most business–related matters. He brings this wealth of experience to Starlight Maldives.

Athfal began his landscaping business in 2013 and expanded his small business to a multifaceted landscaping firm. Previously, Athfal worked in the government, first as an environmental research assistant, then as an assistant environmental consultant and surveyor. With his love for nature and conservation, he adds an environmentally conscious aspect to the company.
